Mount Airy High School is building a memorial at the corner of N. South Street and Orchard Street to honor those who graduated from the school and have served in the military. There will be three flag poles, smaller military branch flags, a granite memorial, benches, and a statue to honor these individuals. This display will be lit and the foundation of the memorial will form a ribbon connecting two paths to the center of the memorial. Separate from the memorial, but in the same area, a digital sign will be installed to provide direction and information for students, staff, and the community.
